Translating to "The Blade Of A Thousand Deaths" in the common language, The Senshinoha is the true form of the artifact of the stalker, the 3rd legendary artifact of Lockraath. Now unleashed from the mask of shadow magic it was hiding its true power behind, the weapon is suffused with the souls of a thousand killers molded into one deadly will. Both powered, and cursed, by the essence of death, he who dares wield it will have the power to end lives without effort, but must be cautious, as The Senshinoha can end their life just as easily as it ends those of their enemies.
The Senshinoha has a +3 to attack and damage rolls and ignores resistance and immunity to slashing damage. Critical hits it lands as a result of rolling a natural 20 bypass effects that turn critical hits into normal hits, such as adamantine armour.
Reduced To Nothing. A creature dealt damage by The Senshinoha becomes cursed by it for 1 minute. If a creature's hit points are reduced to 0 hit points while cursed in this way, they are instantly killed and their body disintegrates into nothing. This effect trumps any effect that allows a creature to negate death or otherwise reincarnate themselves, such as the Death Ward spell, and also instantly destroys the creature's soul. Only a Wish spell can restore a creature subjected to this fate.
Echoes Of Death. When you roll initiative, you gain an additional bonus to the initiative roll, and to attack and damage rolls with the Senshinoha until the next time you roll initiative, equal to the number of creatures it reduced to nothing since the last time you rolled initiative. For example, if The Senshinoha reduced 3 creatures to dust since the last time you rolled initiative, on the next time you roll initiative you'll gain an additional +3 to your next initiative roll and your attack and damage rolls, for a +6 bonus to attack and damage rolls total. The maximum additional bonus that can be gained in this way is +10.
The End. When you land a critical hit with The Senshinoha with a natural 20 , if the target of your attack has 100 hit points remaining or less, they are instantly killed and turned to nothing as per The Senshinoha's Reduced To Nothing trait. If the target has more than 100 hit points remaining the damage dice of your attack are tripled instead of doubled.
Death's Eyes. Your eyes become black voids and constantly drip inky black tears that stain your face. The uncanny appearance gives you advantage on Intimidation checks. You are always under the effect of the Eyebite spell, it doesn't require concentration, and you can activate it an unlimited number of times at the cost of losing 1d6 hit points per use. You cannot be reduced to 0 hit points by this effect.
Sentience. The Senshinoha is sentient, possessing a thousand sadistic minds fused into one spiritual mass. The combined experience makes it highly intelligent, with ability scores of 19 Int, 20 Wis, and 17 Cha. It can see through your eyes, and hear what you hear, and it understands common, elvish, dwarvish, draconic, and wraisa languages. It is able to communicate with whoever is holding it telepathically, even if they are not attuned to it. It refers to itself as "we" and "us", and has the personality of a cold, brooding psychopath obsessed with killing. It has no faith in mortal kind, and believes all mortals deserve death, and nothing more, only allowing a mortal to wield it because it is the only way it is able to kill.
Curse. The Senshinoha's curse also extends to you, breaking any attunement you have with other magical weapons, and imposing disadvantage on attack rolls you make with any other weapon. Your ability to feel mercy is also almost completely diminished. When you try to flee combat, or if combat is about to end without every enemy dead, you must succeed on a DC 20 Charisma saving throw at the start of each of your turns or The Senshinoha will take control of you and force you to continue attacking. This saving throw repeats every turn until it has been succeeded on 3 times, or all enemies are dead.
Lastly, The Senshinoha will happily end your life just as it ends those of others. If you start dying while attuned to The Senshinoha, you are instantly killed and disintegrate into nothing as per its Reduced To Nothing trait.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
