Now honed by storm and sky, this rapier gleams with mirrored steel that dances with flickers of lightning when drawn. The wind-etched spirals along its blade shift continuously, as if the weapon channels the breath of a living storm. A soft hum fills the air around it, and the scent of ozone follows in its wake.
Properties
-
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.
-
Whispers of the Wind. When you take the Dash action, you may move an additional 15 feet, and opportunity attacks against you until the end of the turn are made with disadvantage as wind slips you past your foes.
-
Lightning Feint (2/short rest). When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can unleash a burst of disruptive air. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be shocked, giving advantage on the next two melee attacks against it before the end of your next turn.
Task to Become Very Rare: “Speak the Name of the Storm”
To evolve Zephyra Rapier further, the wielder must ride a storm in the Plane of Air — literally. This requires surviving a flight through an elemental hurricane, such as aboard a skyship or carried by magic, and shouting the name of a forgotten wind deity into its heart without faltering. The storm must hear your voice and accept your defiance.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Vex
