Weapon (warhammer), artifact

This ornate Chardalyn warhammer is shaped like a jagged rose. The petals radiate a violent energy and emit a faint red glow. Small broken pieces of Chardalyn orbit this weapon, somewhat resembling thorns. The shaft of this weapon resembles a cage of thin stems that protects the handle, while the handle itself appears to depict the Astral Sea; a dark purple gossamer backdrop with tiny glowing stars drifting across its surface.

Burden of Guilt. This weapon has the Heavy property. You must have a Strength score of 20 or higher to wield this weapon, as the combination of various magical items in an unnatural fashion has increased its density. In addition, it weighs ten times more than a normal warhammer.
Greater Magic Weapon. You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and its critical hit threshold is reduced by 1. In addition, it deals an extra 3d4 necrotic damage on a hit.
Radiant Petals. Whenever you score a critical hit with a spell attack while holding this weapon, the target takes an extra 3d6 radiant damage.
Fade Out. Whenever you miss an attack with this weapon, roll a d100. On a 30 or lower, you are teleported to the Astral Plane until the start of your next turn. If you roll a 1 on an attack roll with this weapon, you are immediately teleported to the Astral Plane until the start of your next turn.
Binding Boon. If you make this weapon your Pact Weapon, Hex Weapon, or bind it with War Bond, you gain the following additional benefits.

  • Greater Magical Focus. While holding this weapon, you gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls and your spell save DC.
  • Astral Flicker. Whenever you take damage while wielding this weapon, you reduce it by an amount equal to the modifier you use for attack and damage rolls with this weapon.
  • Biting Thorns. Whenever you successfully use Quick Parry to cause a melee attack to miss you with this weapon, the attacker takes an amount of piercing damage equal to the modifier you use for attack and damage rolls with this weapon.
  • Destructive Touch. This weapon is capable of destroying structures made of force, such as those created by Forcecage or Wall of Force. Striking a Large or smaller structure of magical force with this weapon automatically shatters that structure. If the target is a Huge or larger structure of force, this weapon shatters a 20-foot-cube portion of it.
  • Fall for You. While holding this weapon, whenever you score a critical hit against a creature with a fly speed with a spell attack, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or fall prone and have its fly speed reduced to 0 for 1 minute. A creature can repeat this save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
  • Unstoppable Force. While holding this weapon, anytime you force a creature to move from its space, it is pushed an additional 10 feet in the direction you chose. In addition, any feature you have which forces a creature to move is no longer restricted by size category.

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.

Notes: Weapon Property: Heavy, Bonus: Melee Weapon Attacks, Damage: Melee Weapon Attacks, Damage: Necrotic, Damage: Radiant, Bonus: Melee Spell Attacks, Bonus: Ranged Spell Attacks, Bonus: Spell Save DC, Versatile, Push
