Weapon (shortsword), very rare (requires attunement)

The blade is weightless in hand and when wielded leaves an illusory echo of itself behind it with each swing.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, when making an attack with this weapon, you may use your bonus action to choose a creature within 30 feet of you as the target of the attack and appear in the closest space adjacent to the target as if by a Misty Step spell, at which point you roll your attack as normal.  Should the attack hit, it deals 1d10 additional force damage to the target of the attack.

Once this feature has been used it may not be used again until after a long rest.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
