This staff is blessed with the ancient powers of the Fanes of Barovia. It can be used as a focus for casting Druid spells.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Atunement with this weapon increases the wielder’s wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

You know the Thorn Whip and Druidcraft cantrips. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells. 

You can, in a very limited capacity, communicate with plants. 

When this staff leaves the demiplane of Barovia, it becomes a +1 magical quarterstaff without any extra properties. 

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
