This hatchet is well-balanced for throwing and has carved vines throughout the handle. When it is thrown and hits, vines sprout from the axe and the target must make a STR Save (DC 13) or be restrained as if by an Entangle spell (for the hit target only).
With a command word, the hatchet will return to the owner's hand from up to 60 feet away. Any entangled creatures are freed when it is returned in this way.
Proficiency with a Handaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
