This large, ornate +1 maul is made of a black tempered metal etched in and with hammerheads of solid gold. An ancient symbol adorns it, and glows when the maul's special ability is used. On a hit, the maul deals +2 radiant damage.
Retribution: As a reaction, the wielder can choose to take the damage dealt to another target within 30 ft. Each point of damage thus taken is added to a pool. Upon a successful hit, the Hammer can expend the pool, dealing normal damage as well as radiant damage equal to 1d10 + the amount of the pool. This resets the pool to 0.
Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
