Weapon (longbow), legendary (requires attunement)

 

  • The wielder has a +1 bonus to attack rolls made with this weapon.
  • When the wielder hits with an attack using this weapon, the target takes an additional 1d4 poison damage.
  • If the wielder hits with an attack using this weapon, instead of dealing damage, they can choose one of three effects to trigger. Each effect can only be used once, and they cannot be used again until the wielder finishes a long rest:
    • Earthbind spell on the target.
    • A Maxmillian's Earthen Grasp spell on the target.
    • Melf's Acid Arrow spell on the target.
  • If you miss an attack with this weapon roll a d8 to determine which square the missed arrow lands in. That square counts as difficult terrain as plants begin to grow there. 
  • Using a bonus action the wielder can choose one of three effects to trigger. Each effect can only be used once, and they cannot be used again until the wielder finishes a long rest (Each effect is centered on a spot that an arrow that was missed landed):
    • Grasping Vine spell
    • Plant Growth spell
    • An Erupting Earth spell
  • All spells cast in this way are cast at fourth level.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
