Furthermore, you can cast the Mending cantrip at will, using these tools as a spellcasting focus. In addition, this set of tools contains five charges, and regains 1d4+1 expended charges daily at dawn. You may use these tools to cast an Artificer spell that is of a level you can cast but you do not have prepared, expending a number of charges equal to the spell's level and expending an appropriate level spell slot. They may also be used to cast an Artificer cantrip that you do not know, expending a single charge.

Finally, these tools provide a +1 bonus to crafting magic items with the tools and a +1 bonus to repairing a firearm that has misfired.
