An Oakensteel staff colored a matte silver. Arcane and runic carvings wrap around the shaft in rings and occasionally in intersecting spirals ranging from the large and obvious to the impossibly fine. Three holes lay empty at equal lengths across the length of the staff’s shaft. Atop the shaft is an upright ring with four other rings attached loosely to it. Each loose ring seems to have different inscriptions etched deeply into them.

Arcane Focus

This staff can be used as an arcane focus for the following classes: Artificer, Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard.

Arcane amplifier:

Certain spells are amplified when cast through the staff.

Uncertain nature:

So long as any wielder of this staff has doubts about themselves or are uncertain of their path, purpose, or identity, this staff will occasionally emit magical aberrations.

Owner Emulation:

While attuned, this item’s appearance will gradually adapt to the fashion and wishes of its current owner. Though sometimes the staff may change to reflect an owner’s true feelings rather than what they put forward.

Cursed item:

This item is currently cursed so that it may not be willingly unattuned by John Stewar the 2. The Staff will follow John wherever he goes, if it is able, and seems to have some level of intelligence as it thwarts any attempts by John to get rid of it. Occasionally the staff has been known to fall in such a way that it smacks John, this seems to happen most when he is acting out or against his father’s wishes.

Evolving item:

Indicated by the empty holes in the shaft and the unknown runes that cover most of the staff, there is much of this staff’s power left to discover.
