Staff, rare (requires attunement by a Bard, Cleric, or Druid)
While holding this staff, healing spells with a range of "touch" can be cast up to 30 feet away from the target.
This staff has 1 charge. While holding it, the user can expend its charge to maximize the roll of one healing spell being cast by the user. (The player does not need to roll dice for this spell.) The staff regains it's charge nightly at moon's peak.
This staff is made of Yew and may--at the DM's discretion--serve as a Druidic Focus after the user has attuned to it.
Notes: Bard, Cleric, or Druid, Healing, Utility, Focus
Origin:
DM pitted us against an evil wizard who had jammed a crystal on top of this staff in order to use it for himself. (The original was not explicitly made of a specific wood, nor was I told anything about it being a Druidic Focus. The DM specified later that it was not a wizard staff and the antagonist had been misusing it.)
In the dream my character had the next night, ". . . then staff (from wizard) glows green and a hand from the staff flies across the water and revives the woman . . . "
I want to add damage (perhaps like a weak quarterstaff / similarly to how Gandalf occasionally used his staff as a physical weapon), but I'm currently unsure if that's appropriate. If I do add weapon qualities in a later version, I will likely add a chance to break if used as a weapon.
I also want to add a picture, but I'm not an artist and I didn't find anything I really liked on Google.
Comments, suggestions, and pictures encouraged.
