The triangular shield is made out of gleaming steel. The front is emblazoned with the sigil of the Platinum Dragon, the profile of a white dragon head, which is made of hardened bone. The eye of the dragon is made of moonstone that is magically secured to the front. On the interior of the shield, there is a metal setting to secure a holy symbol/focus.
- Bone begins to grow and encompass the rim of the shield, providing +1 AC.
- The eyes of the dragon look directly at a targeted creature and casts Zone of Truth. This can only be used once per long rest.
- When wielding this shield, you can say the Draconic word for 'Smite' and the mouth of the dragon widens. You hear an audible roar which casts Sacred Flame at 2d8.
- If you pray to the Platinum Dragon while wielding the shield or using it as a focus while praying, you cast Divination. The spell will only work once per day.
- When an ally is in danger, you beseech Bahamut for protection and cast Platinum Protection.
Platinum Protection
A spectral dragon wing encompasses an ally. As a reaction, until the start of your next turn, an ally you can see can have +5 bonus to AC, including against the triggering attack, and you take no damage from Magic Missile.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, follower of Bahamut
