You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this piece of magic ammunition. Once it hits a target, the ammunition explodes and is no longer reusable. The range of your ranged attack with this ammunition is reduced to 40/75.
The arrow tip is replaced by a small wooden cask-like container at the end of the arrow shaft. The arrow shaft is made of a much denser wood than your average arrow. This can be fired from a crossbow as a bolt as well.
Whenever this arrow is fired, it will explode on contact, even if it misses its target. The DM determines where the missed arrow will land. When the arrow makes contact it does normal weapon damage (+3) but changing the damage type to bludgeoning. When it explodes it deals 5d6 fire damage to all creatures in a 15-foot radius. Upon a critical hit, the arrow will only deal the additional weapon damage. Upon a natural 1 the arrow will prematurely explode before it leaves the bow, dealing its fire damage to all creatures in a 15-foot radius around the shooter.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Fire, Damage
