An exquisite blade forged for the greatest masters of both magic and swords.
The blade can be used as an focus for spellcasting. While wielding the sword you have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While you hold it, you gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls and spell save DC.
Spell Absorption. While holding the sword, you have advantage on saving throws against spells. In addition, you can use your reaction when another creature casts a spell that targets only you. If you do, the sword absorbs the magic of the spell, canceling its effect and gaining a number of charges equal to the absorbed spell's level. However, if doing so brings the sword's total number of charges above 20 it fails to absorb the spell and it gains no charges.
Elemental Damage. When you hit with this weapon you can expend 1 charge to deal an extra 1d8 of Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison, or Thunder damage.
Spell Channel. You can convert charges into spell slots to cast spells you have prepared or know. You can create spell slots only of a level equal to or lower than your own spell slots, up to a maximum of 5th level. You use charges in place of your slots, but otherwise cast the spell as normal. For example, you can use 3 charges stored in the rod as a 3rd-level spell slot.
Quick Charge. You can use a bonus action to expend spell slots to regain a number of charges equal to the spells level.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
