As a reaction you can shield others from harm at the cost of your own health. When a creature within 20 feet of you takes damage, you can magically take half that damage while the intended target takes the remainder. This feature doesn’t transfer any other effects that might accompany the damage, and this damage can’t be reduced in any other way and ignores resistances.

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
