This black marble throne sports numerous jagged malachite spikes. The seat and back have a gap that will comfortably accomodate the thickest of Tiefling tails. Massive catseye gems look out from the fronts of the armrests, perfectly positioned for the sitter to clutch or caress with their fingers. Additional malachite inlay depicts a series of scenes representing the enslavement, escape, and subsequent rise to power of a Tiefling clan led by powerful spellcasters. The throne weighs about 6,000 pounds.
Any creature sitting on the throne, attuned or not, is subtly wreathed in thin flames, taking 1 point of fire damage per round and gaining advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks.
Attuning the throne takes ten minutes which must be spent sitting in it. If another creature has already attuned the throne, and is on the same plane, the creature attempting to attune the throne engages in a psychic clash with it. Both creatures compare Intelligence ability check results; the higher result wins and gains or keeps attunement. The loser takes 5d10 psychic damage; the winner takes half as much. If the result is a tie, the current owner does not lose attunement but both creatures take 10d10 psychic damage.
The throne can be used as a focus for the Scrying spell.
While sitting on the throne, the attuned owner need not employ Verbal, Somatic, or Material components when casting the following spells: Arcane Eye, Clairvoyance, Detect Thoughts, Locate Creature, Locate Object, and Scrying. The throne does not grant knowledge of any of these spells; it only facilitates the easier casting of those that the attuned owner knows through other means. It does, however, increase the range of any such spell with a range by 1 mile (and the "must be within 1,000 feet of you" requirement for the Locate Creature and Locate Object spells increases to "must be within 2 miles of you.")
