The prized Elven Longsword of Earl Trond Haugen, recently wielded by his arrogant and inept son Gunnar in the defense of Helirhit. The blade is of a very fine quality, with a sharp distal taper, capable of thrusting through gaps in plate armor to great effect. The smoothly beveled, diamond cross-section blade gleams bright with a thin plating of silver, its magical durability ensuring the effectiveness of its cutting edge.
Despite its thin blade, the weapon bears a remarkable number of runes. The gleaming steel and silver bear traced engravings imitating flames. Though new-made, its selection of runes indicates Earl Haugen was not its original owner.
Elven Longswords are two-handed finesse weapons, OR versatile strength weapons, more comfortable in two hands. When used with dexterity, the damage die is a d8; with strength, a d8/d10. Due to being perfectly honed, this weapon deals 1d10 in one hand, 1d12 in two. Elven Longswords are uniquely well-balanced and precisely tapered, allowing a sufficiently strong warrior to wield them one-handed.
