Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by a by a non-evil High Elf deemed worthy by the blade)

The Shade of Irithyl, an enchanted hilt with a magic blade composed of wisps of energy from the Shadowfel, was first wielded by Kahvoerm Irithyl in the centuries before he became the first Coronal of Myth Drannor. Upon taking up the Ruler's Blade, Kahvoerm gifted the Shade to his younger brother, Livaeon, the first Archwhisperer, and it has acted as a badge of office for the position ever since.

While inactive, the blade's magic is undetectable, and it appears only to be an ornate hilt. As a bonus action, a non-evil high elf attuned to the blade may activate it by whispering its command phrase in Elvish: "The forests of Cormanthor are watered by blood and nourished by moonlight."

While active, a tenebrous blade extends from the hilt, turning bright light into dim light within 20ft, and dim light into darkness. The active blade is a +3 longsword that deals an extra 2d8 psychic damage on a successful hit.

When you hit an enemy with a melee attack using the Blade, you may immediately use your bonus action to turn invisible until the end of your next turn. You may use this property twice between long rests.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Weapon Property: Finesse, Bonus: Magic, Damage: Psychic, by a non-evil High Elf deemed worthy by the blade, Versatile, Sap
