The Shadow of Menzoberranzan gives the wearer the ability to become shrouded in shadows, allowing them to become virtually undetectable in the darkness or shade.

Once per day while wearing this cowl, you can turn invisible as an action. Anything you are wearing or carrying is invisible with you. You remain invisible until the cowl is removed, until you attack or cast a spell, or until you use a bonus action to become visible again. This ability resets at dawn.

Although this item was created by the Drow, the powerful magic within protects it from the damages and negative effects of sunlight. A Drow who is wearing this cowl is immune to the negative effects of sunlight while they remain invisible.
