After the 9th was born the husband was called out to fight. He returned decorated, and as a master of the blade. As his children grew he begun to teach them the ways of the blade, and each took to it quickly. Each of them began to form their own blade techniques, and they quickly realized how the differences in children's fighting styles related to their personalities. They grew until they inevitably were brought into the war, each having to choose aside. While Muso, Tenshin, Mugai, and Yagyu went off to follow the Metalic dragons, their siblings went to follow the Chromatic. At first, the battles between siblings were great spectacles that would cause all around to stop their fighting to watch. However, Hyoho never drew his blade against one of his siblings seeking to find a middle ground between the two groups. Soon the siblings became too valuable to risk on the battlefield and each became advisers and champions to a different one of the dragons. Hyoho never stopped attempting to reunite his family, and after he had gained the ear of the Green dragon he began plotting a way to end the war. He went before the Green with a request to pull all troops out of the war and begin an era of peace once again. The Green's response was to slay Hyoho as a message to all cowards within his ranks. When the siblings learned of this they came together for the first time in several years to bury Hyoho and vowed to avenge him. Ono-ha, Jigen, Tamiya, and Tsuke helped their siblings to infiltrative the Chromatics' lair where together they slew the Green. Shocked at the loss of one of their own the Metallics proposed a way towards peace. That each of the now 8 dragons surrender their essence into the blades of these now 8 siblings allowing their essence to live on forever in the hands of masters of the blade. The Chromatics agreed in fear of how the 8 siblings and the Metallics could turn the war. So fearing for their lives and seeing a hope for immortality with never-ending rivers of blood they agreed. Thus each one of the 8 master's blades was imbued with the essence of dragons. Each master passed on their blade to a student when the blades determined that they were worthy as both blade master and person for what each sought to accomplish., By a Master of the Katana who has won the approval of the Brass Dragon, Versatile, Sap
