The cover of this book is made from dried purple worm skin and the words are charged with magic. If you spend 48 hours over a period of 6 days or fewer studying the book's contents and practicing its guidelines you gain a +1 to all ranged weapon attacks. The guide then loses its magic and is destroyed.

Additionally if you have the archery fighting style or a feat like sharpshooter that enhances ranged attacks, once per turn when you hit with a ranged weapon you may roll an extra die of that weapon’s damage type and add it to your total total. If a weapon deals multiple types of damage you may choose which you use.
