Thick, dark hair animates and extends from the brush to grapple and constrict an opponent within 30ft for up to 5 rounds. Make an opposed strength check against the target with a bonus of +5. Activating this item provokes attacks of opportunity, but only during activation. If the hair succeeds in grappling a foe, that creature takes 1d6 points of bludgeoning damage and gains the grappled condition. The hair receives a +5 bonus on grapple checks made against opponents it is already grappling, but cannot move foes or pin foes. Each round that your hair succeeds on a grapple check, it deals an additional 1d6 points of damage.
You need not maintain concentration on the target once activated and can make attacks with your other hand, albeit with disadvantage. You can move to any square that does not exceed the hair's maximum range while the spell is active. You may designate a new target as a move action, which causes your hair to release its current target (if any) and attack the new target that round. The hair cannot be targeted as a separate creature, but it can be dispelled
