This regal and immaculate longbow is built from a magical emerald and obsidian alloy and used to herald the beginning of a war. You must have a Strength score of 16 or higher to wield this bow. You gain a +2 to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Arrows fired from this bow deal your choice of an extra 1d4 fire or lightning damage. The bow has 2 charges and regains all expended charges each day at dawn.
Once on each of your turns when you make a ranged attack with this weapon, you can expend a charge. The arrow shot is destroyed, turning into a bolt of lightning instead, forming a 5-foot wide line between you and the target. Each creature in the line must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw. taking 8d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Hit or miss, a projectile is lost after the attack. If you reduce a creature to 0hp with this attack, the lightning zips back to the bow, replenishing the charge.
Annihilation. As an action, you can expend a charge and fire the bow skywards. Upon firing, a wave of thunderous force sweeps out from you which can be heard up to a mile away. Each creature in a 30-foot cube originating from you must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage, or half as much damage on a success. The arrow shot is destroyed, turning into a large bolt of lightning and fire instead as it rockets into the sky. At the start of your next turn, the bolt reaches its zenith and casts meteor swarm (Save DC 17). Once this feature of the bow has been used, it can’t be used again for 24 hours.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
