Weapon (longsword), rare

Granted by Yen-Wang-Yeh of the Celestial Palace, this weapon is granted to those who seek to protect the balance of life and death.

This long ebony blade, or dao, is curved with a single edge to it. Around the jianba or handle of the blade is a series of looping orange ribbons made of incredibly fine silk. The sword weighs 10 pounds.

The sword grants longsword proficiency while wielded.

The sword has 10 charges, which are used to fuel the spells within it. With the sword in hand, you can use your action to cast one of the following swords from the staff if the spell is on your class’s spell list: Spare the Dying (1 charge), or Gentle Repose (2 charges), or Revivify (3 charges). No components are required. The sword, when fully charged with 10 charges, may also be sacrificed to cast Resurrection.

The sword regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges each day at dusk. If you expend the sword's last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the sword vanishes in a flash of light. If the sword is sacrificed to cast Resurrection it similarly vanishes.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
