A white golden lion face is marked in the center of this shield, with its golden mane forming the flared heater shield shape. While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. While attuned to this shield, you gain the following benefits:

• Confident in the Face of Danger. You and any allies within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

• Ambitious Property. Once per long rest, you can use an action to have the shield transform into armor. This transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you are unconscious. While the shield is in this form, your AC becomes 21, you have advantage on Strength Saving Throws, and you regain hit points at the start of your turn equal to 1d6 + your Constitution modifier. While using the Ambitious Property trait, you cannot use The Need for Survival property of this item.

• The Need for Survival. As a bonus action, you can protect an adjacent ally, imparting a +3 bonus to their AC until the start of your next turn, or they are no longer adjacent to you (whichever comes first).

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
