This leather bound book has descriptions of spells learned from its previous owner, written in a mystical cipher. If the spell is on your class’s spell list, you can read the book and attempt to learn and transfer the spell to your own tome. Otherwise, the entries are unintelligible. A wizard can copy a spell scroll into their spell book for 50gp + 2 hours per spell level.

1st level: disguise self, identify, mage armor, magic missile, protection from evil and good

2nd level: darkvision, hold person, invisibility, magic weapon
