Gravitational Sinkhole: When a creature makes a melee attack against you and misses you can use your reaction to activate the shield and a gravitational sinkhole forms. The creature must make a DC 16 STR save or suffer 2d8 force damage halfed if succeeded or be restrained and grappled.

The shield can be used as a regular shield without being attuned if you are proficient with shields.

When attuned you gain the sinkhole reaction and become proficient with the shield while attuned.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
