This impressive Greataxe emminates the power of the Yugoloths. Whenever it cleaves anything it leaves it own special magical markings, showing the raw strength. Some say that touching these markings can hurt just as much as the greataxe itself.
When attunted to this weapon you gain the following benefits:
- This is a +1 weapon.
- This weapon deals 2d12 slashing damage.
- Your weapon attacks with this weapon score a critical hit on a roll of 17–20.
- Your weapon attacks on a creature leave a permanent mark. At the start of creatures turn marked it takes the damage of this weapon again for each mark it has.
- If healed magically all marks disappear.
- A creature may make a Medicine check of DC 15 to close a mark.
- On a crit you leave two marks instead.
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
