Simple Weapon (Scythe).
Damage: 1d8 Slashing. Properties: Silvered, Versatile (1d10) Weight 4lb
Created using dark magic and teh blood of Nightmares End, this "parasitic" weapon hungers for the life energy of the Unholy and Unnatural.
+1 to Attack and Damage rolls with this weapon.
Hunter's Focus:
When you finish a long rest, you may choose one of the following creature types as your focus: Abberations, Fey, Fiends, Monstrosities or the Undead. This feature lasts until you finish a long rest.
While focusing on a creature type, you gain the following benefits:
- As an action, you can open your awareness to detect creatures of your focus within 30 ft. Until the end of your next turn you know their location.
- Creatures of your focus cannot read your mind or detect your thoughts unless you allow it and you cannot be nonmagically sensed by them either.
Additionally, if a creature of your focus subjects you to a saving throw of any kind you may use your reaction to automatically succeed. You just choose to do this before you roll to save and you may only succeed in this way a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier per long rest.
Sacrificial Edge:
While you wield this weapon you can feed your own life energy into the blade, increasing its deadliness in combat. The bonus damage from this feature ignores an enemy's resistance to it. As a Bonus Action you can pay 5 HP to grant one of the following:
- Cinders Touch: Weapon attacks with this weapon deal a bonus 2d4 fire damage.
- Winters Bite: Weapon attacks with this weapon deal a bonus 2d4 cold damage.
- Storms Fang: Weapon attacks with this weapon deal a bonus 2d4 lightning damage.
This bonus lasts 1 minute and ends early if you use this feature again.
Reaper's Promise:
Wisdom Mod/Long Rest. You gain the ability to put a magical claim against the life of your prey. As a Bonus Action you can place a curse on a creature of your focus type within 30 ft of you that you can see. The target is cursed for 1 hour. The curse ends early if the target dies, you die, you become unconscious or if you use this feature against another creature.
While a creature is cursed in this way you gain the following benefits against it:
- You gain a bonus to damage rolls against the cursed target equal to your proficiency bonus.
- Any attack roll you make against the cursed target with this weapon is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the D20.
- If the cursed target dies, you regain Hit Points equal to half your level (rounded down) + your Wisdom Modifier.
- You sense the direction to the creature's location, as long as that creature is within 500 feet of you. If the creature is moving, you know the direction of its movement.
- If the cursed target becomes invisible, it does not benefit from the invisibility against you.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Replace Damage Type: Slashing, Damage, Control, Detection, Combat, Deception, Warding, Versatile, Topple
