This humble wooden shield has iron inlays that seems to show the face of a peacefully sleeping man.
While holding this shield, you have a +2 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.
Spells: The Shield of the Protector has 6 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells (Save DC is equal to the attuned characters save DC) from it: Spare the Dying (0 Charges), Word of Healing (1 Charge), Beacon of Hope (3 Charges), Aura of Life (4 Charges), Aura of Purity (4 Charges), Mass Cure Wounds (5 Charges), Revivify (6 charges). The Shield of the Protector regains 1d6 charges each dawn.
Make a Martyr: While holding The Shield of the Protector, you can use your action to cast True Resurrection at which point The Shield of the Protector becomes the Shield of the Martyr.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
