This staff is a dark Walnut staff with some gold accents on the top of the decorative head of the staff that reaches down to the middle of the staff where a deep red ruby is inlaid in the handle where the wielder holds the staff with a bright white pearl is inlaid below the Ruby. 

This can be used as an arcane focus.

as an action, the wielder can transform the staff into either a Rapier with a ruby and pearl handle or into a quill with a ruby red Nib and a pearl-white feather.  it takes an action to switch back into a staff.

this magic item can only be attuned to by a wizard. anyone attuned to this Item cannot be willingly separated from the Weapon and must do everything in their power to be reunited with it. you cannot willingly end attunement from the weapon.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
