It is a metal chain, with each link being the size of a gold piece. The chain glows an especially faint blue light, and is always cool to the touch. Intricate carvings cover the surface of each link, written in ancient draconic symbols. The chain itself is made of a metal of unknown origin, its structure interwoven with arcane energy. It is also surprisingly light, weighing no more than an owl's feather. This chain functions as a spellbook for you. Each time you wish to add a new spell, instead of transcribing the spell with fine ink on a page, one simply needs to hold up a vial of fine ink and speak the command word. Once spoken, the ink will float out of the vial and float around the last link of the chain. After a moment, the ink will solidify and transmute into another link of the chain, inscribed with the spell you wished to add. The rest of the 2 hours transcribing a new spell is used experimenting and mastering the spell. The chain cannot be broken by non-magical means, and as long as a user is attuned, it cannot leave said user's possession. In addition, the chain gives it's user expertise in the Arcana Skill.
