Ancient Artifact - This bow has a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. This bow grows more powerful as it ages, and it is ancient in origin, being traced back to primordial battles between conquistadors and wardens of nature.
Draconic Aspect - If the bearer of this bow is a Kobold or DragonBorn, then they gain a flying speed equal to their walking speed, as dragonic wings unfurl from their backs. Dragons are especially connected to nature, as the innate kings of the wild world.
Nature Persists - The arrows launched from this bow are enveloped in the flaming head of a dragon. When it hits it target, it continues to burn, and the target takes 1 fire damage for each continual flaming arrow in it when initiative loops back to the same turn in which the arrow was fired. Nature continues to persist like a never ending flame of change, and will always wear down it’s opponent, no matter how long it takes.
Nature’s Sharpness - The bearer of this bow now possesses an eagle's sight, a bloodhounds smell, and an elephant’s hearing.
Seeds of Nature - 10 times per long rest, the wielder of this bow can speak the command word, “In Sindarin”, and summon a magical, spectral green arrow. From there, the wielder can fire the arrow wherever they wish, with unerring accuracy, and at where the arrow hits, nature manifests itself with overwhelming power. Examples of a manifestation of Nature include tornados, tsunamis, firestorms, and earthquakes, or the summoning of a forrest or oasis. The aspect of Nature exists for 1 hour before dissipating, and can be up to 15 acres in size. The aspect of nature counts as difficult terrain for the chosen creatures.
LORE: Long ago, in an era before the civil world, there were simply the conquistadors, and the conquered. The wild and those who wished to tame it. In this era of conflict between humanoids and nature, there was a DragonBorn named Gerreik, who bore witness to the **** of forrests, grasslands, and seas. The DragonBorns lived modestly within nature, instead of imposing their will over it, and so they cared very dearly for nature. Gerreik came to BreadGully, where we spoke to the ancient Wisdom Tree there. The Wisdom Tree, touched by Gerreik’s concern for him, and worried by the pillage of the natural world, allowed Gerreik to shave a single strip of bark from his trunk. Gerreik worked that single strip into the Bow that would come to be known as “The Seeds of Nature”. This legendary bow did not command nature, but simply allowed nature to awaken through it’s arrows. “The Seeds of Nature” was used by Gerreik, long ago, to protect the island cluster of his home from the horned raiders of his time. Since then, the bow has been used in countless battles to preserve the natural world. As the bow aged, it only became stronger and healthier, growing leaves and twigs of it’s own. On the back of the bow, the natural twisting of the bark spells out a phrase in Druidic- “Life Repeats”.
The Bow looks like an extension of a stree, with twisting bark all over it, leaves sprouting about, and even the occasional flower or berry growing on it’s tip.
