Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

Long ago, a quick witted and even quicker fighting man, Known as Balthalamel, destroyer of beasts, made a longsword, from the materials of a now extinct magical Lion. The result was a sword with a small tuft of lion fur hanging on a short string from the bottom of a handle, wrapped in bleached and very comfortable hide handle, with a small, circular cross guard and a slightly curved blade, made of sharpened and nearly indestructible bone. More surprisingly, with the sheer fighting spirit Balthalamel had exhumed while using the blade, it seemed to have... animated it.

The sword may speak to a person it has attuned, and has a cynical and violent view of the world. It shares a weak telepathic link with its wielder, and can view the world through their eyes as well as read their thoughts. Lastly, it has an obsession with drawing blood from powerful beings, and will revel when it is done. The sword refers to itself as Yorundo, the former king of the jungle.

When you make an attack action, roll 1d8. If you roll a 2 or higher, you may make another attack against the same target. Then, roll 1d8 again. If you roll a 3 or higher, you may attack again. You then do the same for 4, 5,6,7, and 8. If the target's hit points reach 0, you gain 1d8 times the number of attacks you have done this turn temporary hit points.

Yorundo can hold 4 charges. As a reaction, before you would roll a d8 when attacking with the sword, you may spend a charge and reset the target number for extra attacks back to 2.

You regain 1d6-2 after a long rest.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
