Wand, very rare (requires attunement by a Spellcaster)
This wand has 7 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to cast the polymorph spell (save DC 15) from it.
The wand regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand's last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand crumbles into ashes and is destroyed.
Notes: Spellcaster, Control, Shapechanging
It’s just a dead frog on a stick
But is it really a frog?.....
I think its supposed to be a caterpillar cocoon, because that's what polymorph's material component is.
That’s true and makes sense thanks for telling me
A great classic.
hi
It’s apparently a frog. In Curse of Strahd, there’s a frog on a stick you can find. The book says it can be mistaken for a wand of polymorph. I guess it’s because frogs undergo metamorphosis?
does the object/person keep your mass and/or volume when you transform them?
No; apart from the alignment and personality, the target fully becomes the chosen beast. That includes size and weight.
