Weapon (warhammer), rare (requires attunement)

This hammer holds a strange shape, as instead of a mace shaped top it is a perfect ball made of pure iron. Several silver and copper runes are found in the base of the head of this weapon, its handle coated with simple rubber. It belonged to Tonitrus, a great old warrior that once befriended a blue dragon, earning its respect by absorbing its lightning breath with his weapon out of pure force of will. The dragon, surprised by the warrior's strength and character, not only didn't kill him but welcomed him into his lair, eventually finding a partner for life.

The weapon itself is a +2 warhammer. Attacking with it charges it instantly with electricity that sparks wildly around the head of The Shocker, dealing 2 additional die of lightning damage (2d6 if wielding it one-handedly, 2d8 if wielding it with both hands). 

If an opponent is hit two times with this weapon and they are not resistant nor immune to lighting damage, they must succeed on a Charisma Saving throw (DC 15) or be stunned until the beggining your of your next turn. A creature stunned this way cannot be stunned again by The Shocker in the next hour. If a creature would suffer the shock again but has already been stunned by this weapon, it must make a new Charisma Saving throw (DC 15). On a failure, it un-attunes from a random magical item they own, and can't re-attune to it for 24 hours.

Additionally, as an action, you may raise The Shocker up in the air to cast the spell Call Lightning (DC 15) or slam it into the ground to cast the spell Thunderwave (DC 15) at third level. You may use each of the spells once a day. 

If the weapon is wielded in front of a blue dragon, you have advantage in Charisma checks when communicating with him, as the legend of Tonitrus is greatly known to those of its kind.

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
