The Yithians, also known as the Great Race of Yith, are alien creatures that have mastered time travel. Their home is the planet of Yith. Yithians have cone-shaped bodies, long necks, arms with claws and a second neck with a tube-like end. Originally, Yithians had different bodies they left behind long ago, taking over the bodies of other species when it is required
Tesla Coils: This weapon deals lightning damage, and if the target is hit, it must succeed a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success; however it fails 2 times the creature becomes paralyzed for the remainder of the duration.
Rechargeable Tesla: The internal tesla-coils are able to recharge during a short rest. This weapon has 20 charges, and regains 1d12+8 per short rest. The coils spin while the weapon sits flat, allowing the weapon to regain charges.
Overheating 1: A weapon with the Overheating property fires normally for a number of attacks per turn indicated by a following number. After that many attacks have been made by the weapon, there is a cumulative 25% chance that the weapon will overload, rendering the weapon permanently inoperable and dealing 1d8 Fire damage to the wielder. For example, a weapon with Overheating 1 will gain a 25% chance of overloading on the second attack made with it in a turn.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
