This longsword is forged from the world's finest throngonium and blessed by the mightiest of archmages and paladins to ensure its power is unmatched by any unworthy subject.
You gain a +3 to attack and damage rolls made with this longsword. In addition, damage done by this weapon ignores immunity to slashing damage.
When you roll a 19-20 on an attack roll against a creature within range, the creature is considered throngled for 1 minute. A throngled creature undergoes the effects of the paralyzed condition and suffers a persistent 2d8 necrotic damage for 1 minute. The affected creature can choose to make a Constitution saving throw at the end of its turn (DC = 12 + proficiency bonus of the wielder of the throngler).
This sword has the following randomly determined properties, as described in Chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master's Guide:
- 2 minor beneficial properties
- 1 major beneficial property
- 2 major detrimental properties, which are suppressed while the sword is held by the worthy wielder of the throngler
Throngling Psychometry. As an action, you can cast the symbol spell (Save DC = 12 + your strength or dexterity modifier). If the affected creature fails the required saving throw by more than 5, the creature is considered throngled in place of the original condition relative to the symbol type. You may cast this spell a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, and all uses are regained when you finish a long rest.
Destroying the Throngler. The throngler can be destroyed by impaling its previous wielder with it, or by leaving it in the abyss for 1 year.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Necrotic, Debuff, Combat, Versatile, Sap
