Weapon (greataxe), rare (requires attunement)

This greataxe is imbued with magic from the shadowfell, and carry’s the power of The Dark Powers with it. 
Attacks made with the axe have advantage against enemies in darkness. Attacks made against celestial type creatures are at disadvantage.

Attacks deal an additional 2d12 Necrotic damage on a hit. Attacks also count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances.

Axe has 5 charges, you can distribute the charges to cast the following spells. Charges reset on a long rest and if you run out of charges roll a d20, on a 1 the axe returns to the shadowfell, and is lost to the user. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

1 charge: Misty Step

2 charges: Inflict Wounds

3 charges: Blindness/Deafness

4 charges: Blight

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
