Weapon (dart), uncommon

A standard deck of playing cards with a magical edges. When played normally they are indistinguishable from regular cards, however when thrown the edges stiffen and harden allowing them to serve as weapons.

You can throw a number of cards up to your proficiency bonus as a part of the same attack roll. These cards can be directed at the same or different targets.

For each card after the first you suffer a -2 to the attack roll. If you target multiple creatures with one attack roll, you have disadvantage on the roll. You must decide the number of cards and the targets before the roll takes place.

Effects of multiple hits: (a creature can suffer a maximum of 1 of these effects per attack)

Any creature hit with 2 or more cards in a single attack, the creature has disadvantage on it's next attack roll against you

Any creature hit with 4 or more cards in a single attack, has its speed halved until the end of its next turn

A creature struck by 6 cards in a single attack is blinded. At the end of its next turn it makes a DC15 CON saving throw. On a success, the creature is no longer blinded. On a failure, it is blinded until it gains hit points from any source

Proficiency with a Dart allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
