The forge used to craft these magnificent weapons is powered by the breath of the dragon known as Democ, the Just. Engraved in the sword's fuller are crackling draconic runes, which cause the bronze blade to surge with lightning.
While attuned, the wielder of these +1 longswords can call upon the power of Democ once a day. After successfully landing an attack and by speaking the draconic command word, "Exyri", the wielder can force the target to make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, green lightning surrounds the target and they take an additional 2d10 lightning damage. On a success, the target takes only half damage. The lightning also activates when you score a critical hit.
Additionally, while attuned the wielder gains resistance to lightning damage.
A Roar of Democ regains its power at dawn.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
