Being Magical & Holy, when this item hits someone they are struck with illumination (it's a layered pun, get it? Cause it's made of lightning but also enlightienm- you know what nevermind). When that happens the creature usually has a "Come To Moksha Moment" where they re-evaluate their lifechoices right there on the battlefield. Sometimes they relinquish their current path right then & there and move on directly to the next chapter in their life. Yes, during combat initiative order.

 

 On A 17+ A Creature with a WIS or INT Score of 13 or Higher Struck with this weapon has to make a Saving Throw beating their own Ability Score (whichever's higher) on a failed save the creature becomes immobile, drops its items & looks at its hands. The Creature re-evaluates it's lifechoices & proceeds to walk away calmly from the battlefield until it finds a University, a Monastary or falls in Love. Whichever comes first.

Proficiency with a Pike allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
