Once attuned, the Shatter Blade can make a ranged attack where the blade shatters into different pieces and flies out up to 30ft, and deals xd4 damage at level one, where x is equal to the player's level. At level 10, xd4 becomes xd6, at level 15 xd6 becomes xd8, and at level 20 xd8 becomes xd10. The xdx damage can be split among enemies individually (i. e. one enemy will get 2d4 damage and another will get 4d4 damage). On the player's next turn, as a bonus action, the player can recall the Shatter Blade's pieces back to the hilt and make a ranged attack on one enemy within 5ft. The Shatter Blade can be used as a sell casting focus if the blade is intact. If used as a focus, add a +2 to the spell casting modifier. At higher levels, the different pieces of the blade can be infused with different types of magic (i. e. one piece has ice magic, one has necrotic magic, and a third has celestial magic depending on the class and race of the character).
