This glass terrarium shrinks willing creatures that enter it by one size category and sustains them. Any creatures inside of the terrarium do not need to eat or drink, breathable air is always provided (even while the terrarium is inside a bag of holding), and a constant calm emotions spell is cast on them. Nonmagical objects and plants can be placed inside of the terrarium to create miniature scenery, with the plants also not needing to eat or drink. These objects and plants may also shrink, and do not limit the number of creatures that can enter the terrarium if placed in moderation. The weight of all creatures, objects, and plants is halved while inside of this terrarium.

Five varietes of this terrarium exist, all varying in size, rarity, weight, and capacity. A terrarium's capacity accounts for the comfortable living space that a creature of a certain size would usually require. Every terrarium has four glass walls, and its magic is dispelled if this glass is shattered.
