Adapted from the original chain mail adorned by Chad Thadeus, The high vape lord of the eastern kingdom. A specialist armoursmith in Riavud managed to incorporate pieces of the chain mail into an underlay beneath the series of interlocking metal plates when he was joining the two armours together. The result is a set of plate with chain mail bracing the weak points (e.g. joints and neck). From these crevices, wisps of harmless, odorless smoke pour out while the armour is worn.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
