These oversized, coppery discs are covered in a myriad of spiraling glyphs and magical runes. As mysterious in origin as they are dangerous in practice, legend says that should the pair ever become separated, calamity will befall the multiverse. 

By crashing the cymbals together and placing one onto the ground, you can use an action to cast the symbol spell with it. Roll d6. On a 1, the symbol generated is randomly determined by a d8 roll and immediately activates. The cymbals can't be used this way again until the next dawn.
