Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement by a ranger)

This longbow is suffused with darkness harnessed from the Shadowfell. You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Shadowshaped Arrows. Pulling back the bowstring creates an arrow of pure shadow, requiring no ammunition to fire. Additionally, a creature you hit with this weapon takes an extra 2d6 necrotic damage.

Step Through Shadow. When you are in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness. This property can’t be used again until the next nightfall.

Shadowy Illusions. As an action, you can use the longbow to cast one of the following spells from it (save DC 16): hypnotic pattern, major image, or phantasmal killer. Once a spell has been cast using the longbow, that spell can’t be cast from the longbow again until the next nightfall.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Damage: Necrotic, ranger, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
