Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a a creature with a Dexterity score of 18 or higher)

The Big Bang sent six elemental stones hurtling across the virgin universe. These Infinity Stones each control an essential aspect of the universe. The Space Stone grants the wielder absolute control over space itself, primarily used to open portals to other locations but can also allow interdimensional travel.

Detrimental Properties. The Space Stone represents the vast expanses of the multiverse, requiring its wielder to be capable of careful and precise usage. Using the Space Stone while not attuned to it will render the wielder only able to use the teleport spell from it's spell list, any use of the spell results in an Off Target teleport.

Attunement. To attune to the Space Stone, you must attach the stone to a weapon of no less than legendary quality. For this property to work, you must attach the Space Stone to the weapon by pressing the stone against it for at least 10 minutes. Thereafter, the Space Stone can’t be removed unless you detach it as an action or the weapon is destroyed. Not even an antimagic field causes it to fall off. The Space Stone does fall off the weapon if your attunement to the stone ends. If attunement is attempted with a weapon of very rare quality or less, each creature within a 5-foot radius must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw as the weapon, not including the Space Stone, and any creature that failed the saving throw are cast to a location of the GMs choice.

No living being can fully handle the power of an Infinity Stone, attempting to do so will drain one's vitality. While attuned to an Infinity Stone, you may spend one or more of your hit dice to fuel their properties. For each hit dice spent this way, roll the dice and add your Constitution modifier to it. You can decide to roll an additional hit dice after each roll. The total value rolled is added to a pool of charges shared by all Infinity Stones you are attuned to. Alternatively, you may choose to permanently reduce your hit point maximum, adding one charge to the pool per hit point reduced. Hit points lost this way cannot be regained.

Beneficial Properties. While attuned to the stone, you gain the following benefits: 

  • Ignore the Detrimental Properties of the Space Stone.
  • Your Dexterity score is increased by 4, as does your maximum for that score.
  • When you cast a spell with a range other than self or touch, that spell's range is tripled. 
  • As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 120 feet.
  • The weapon the Space Stone is attached to can be used as a spellcasting focus for your spells. 

Spells. While holding the weapon the Space Stone is attached to, you can use an action to cast one of the following spells from it (save DC 20): arcane gate (12 charges), banishment (8 charges), blink (6 charges), dimension door (8 charges), forbiddance (12 charges, as an action), forcecage (14 charges), gate (20 charges), plane shift (14 charges), telekinesis (10 charges), teleport (14 charges), vortex warp (4 charges).

Infinity Circuit. The energies of the Space Stone and Time Stone resonate together, forming a circuit. If the wielder of the Space Stone is also attuned to the Time Stone, spells cast from Infinity Stones have unlimited range. Additionally, the following spells are added to the Space Stone's spell list: freedom of movement (8 charges), hold person (16 charges, 8th level), hold monster, maze (16 charges), reality break (16 charges).
