An unassuming wristlet of an unknown metal that mechanically grows and expands into a gauntlet while in use. The Wristlet of Euphemia is a item searched far and wide by artisans and craftsmen of both low and high talents due to the fact the wristlet has the ability to create hard light projections of crafts and structures with a single thought. Many wish to have this prize in order to make the life of an artisan easier by using the items capabilities to cut corners while still retaining quality.
Random Properties. The artifact has the following random properties, which you can determine by rolling on the tables in the “Artifacts” section of the Dungeon Master’s Guide:
- 2 minor beneficial properties
- 1 minor detrimental property
- 1 major detrimental property
Creation. Focusing on the wristlet, and using your Bonus Action, allows you to make a construct no bigger than 15x15 feet in size. This construct moves at your will but can move no farther than 30 feet from you. The construct has the shape of whatever you desire and an AC equal to 8 + your Intelligence Modifier + your proficiency and 1 Hit Point. If a construct is destroyed, you may make another construct on your turn. The construct may be interacted with physically and held in your hands as if it were a solid, physical item. While a construct exists, the rules of concentration apply. You may only have a single construct active at a time.
Weapon Creation. You may have the construct take the shape of a weapon you have proficiency with. You may use your action to attack with that weapon which deals twice the number of damage dice than a normal variant of the weapon would cause, and it deals force damage instead of the normal damage type of the weapon. For example, if you were to make a Construct Dagger, you would deal 2d4 force damage instead of 1d4 piercing damage. Use your Intelligence for the attack modifier and bonus when attacking with that construct. Attacking with a normal construct counts as attacking with a makeshift weapon, however, the makeshift weapon deals force damage equal to your Intelligence modifier instead of 1d4 damage.
Hard Light Tools. You may summon a set of hard light artisan tools and use them in tasks such as forging, tinkering, carving, etc. You gain a +5 to the roll you make when using these tools and the time it would take to finish the task is halved. Items that require components such as Alchemist's Supplies and Poisoner's Kits can still be summoned, however, you must have real components with you in order to use them.
Temporary Repairs. You may use your action to reinforce a structure with your hard light, expanding and grafting the hard light onto the structure like a shell or coat of armor no matter how big the structure is. Coating a structure with hard light gives the structure temp hit points equal to 10 times your Intelligence modifier and adds your Intelligence modifier to its AC. You may do this for a minute and cannot do it again until your next long rest.
Damaged. The wristlet was damaged throughout the years of contest for it, and because the technology that built it has been lost, no one has been able to fix it. Whenever you attempt to use the wristlet, roll a DC 20 Intelligence saving throw. On a fail, the hard light that is summoned takes a form the DM decided upon instead of the intended shape. This construct cannot be dismissed and seemed to have a mind of its own, disobeying you no matter how much you attempt to command it.
Destroying the Wristlet. The wristlet is very difficult to destroy, needing to be incinerated in the heart of a white dwarf star or thrown into a black hole. Though damaged, it does not seem tinkering it will damage it further leading to the question what was strong enough for it to be damaged in the first place?
