You have resistance to necrotic damage while you wear this armor.
Every time you kill something that has a mortal soul, the soul furnace consumes it. For each soul consumed, you gain 1d4 Temp HP and must roll an intelligence saving throw (DC 6). If you pass, gain another 1d4 Temp HP. If you fail, you enter into a furious frenzy, spending every turn attacking the closest mortal being with a soul within your vicinity. This effect lasts for 10 minutes, and resets upon another failed Intelligence Saving Throw, or when there are no mortal souls within your line of sight for 5 minutes, allowing your character to calm themselves, and regain their conscious awareness.
As a reaction, you may spend your accumulated Temp HP to gain that much temp AC, until the start of your next turn, potentially protecting you from a successful attack.
For each soul consumed after the first, increase the DC for the intelligence saving throw by 2, resetting upon a long rest.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
